Major Government Contractor Silences Disbelievers with QuietRock

From an email we received on
January 9, 2008:

"I am a government contractor and in charge of a facility that must meet a certain acceptable sound transmission level. My government sponsor discovered that our sound transmission levels were woefully inconsistent and needed to be “beefed up”. My customer was skeptical about QuietRock, due to its bold claims.

After installation, I noticed a marked improvement. For example, some flooring contractors were using a pneumatic scraper, basically a jack-hammer, right outside. The only reason I knew they were there is I felt the vibrations through the floor. I did not hear them. When I went outside, the sound was

deafening! It is estimated that the STC for my facility now exceeds 80.

Thank you for making good on your promise. You made a believer out of me, my government customer, and everyone else here who had questioned the claims that are posted on your website. We have outfitted additional facilities with your product with superior results. I’ve referred you to countless other colleagues who work with the government.”

Homeowner Sleeps Easy by Adding QuietRock 510

From another email we received on
January 9, 2008:

“I used Quietrock 510 by simply screwing the 4' X 8' sheets into my bedroom wall studs, covering the old wall. It cut at least 60% of the neighbors noise, making it tolerable to sleep through. I recommend your product to everyone who asks me what I used, and I live in mid-town Manhattan where peace and quiet is a rare commodity.”

QuietRock is the only soundproofing approach that does not require demolition. Click for QuietRock 510 info, or contact us to tell us about your project and find a convenient supplier.

Soundproofing Tip: Treat Close to the Source

Even with QuietRock and QuietWood, you’ll get best results by applying noise reduction techniques as close to the source of the noise as possible. For example, if you have a high-volume home theater and you want your master suite down the hall to be quiet, start by treating the home theater – not your bedroom. This reduces the amount of noise that gets carried through the entire structure of the home or office.
