For the first time in 50 years the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) decided not to endorse a General Terms and Conditions document from the American Institute of Architects (full story). AGC members expressed concern that the new edition shifts risk to general contractors and other parties.
The shift in risk makes it more important that contractors steer projects toward more reliable construction techniques and materials, to reduce their own potential liability. For noise control, QuietRock has strong reliability advantages over RC (RC risks), sound clips, or multiple layers of gyp, as it can’t be short-circuited – the engineering is ‘built-in’. Our cost comparison info (click for chart) makes it easy to justify replacing riskier approaches with QuietRock, and get the lowest total cost and a faster project turnaround.
