Quiet Solution Awarded First Patent on Soundproof Drywall

SUNNYVALE, CA - Quiet Solution announced today it has been granted its first patent in the field of soundproof drywall. The United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded Quiet Solution United States Patent Number 7,181,891, issued on February 27, 2007. The patent is titled ‘Acoustical sound proofing material and methods for manufacturing same’ and includes four independent claims and 14 dependent claims fundamental to soundproofing technologies offered by Quiet Solution.

In general terms, the patent describes methods of producing internally-damped construction panels typically used for walls, floors and ceilings. Such technology is presently included in the industry-leading QuietRock® family of products from the company.
