Quiet Solution and Supress Products Reach Agreement on Patent Infringement Lawsuit
Sunnyvale, CA, December 4, 2007 – Quiet Solution announced today that it has reached an agreement with Supress Products LLC in a lawsuit filed against Supress for patent infringement. The patent at issue was United States Patent Number 7,181,891, titled “Acoustical sound proofing material and methods for manufacturing same.” The patent was filed in 2003 and awarded by the United States patent Office in February, 2007 and covers a variety of soundproofing panels, including those made of gypsum that do not include metal. The agreement permits Supress to sell certain products covered by patent #7,181,891. Details of the agreement are confidential.
