Supress Products Sued for Patent Infringement
Quiet Solution Defends its Intellectual Property
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 7, 2007 - Quiet Solution announced today it has filed a lawsuit against Supress Products LLC for patent infringement. The Quiet Solution complaint, filed with the Federal District Court, Northern California, requests an injunction to halt the manufacture and sale of products believed to be infringing by Supress, its affiliates, distributors, dealers and partners. The suit also demands compensation for infringing activities to date.
The patent at issue in this suit is United States Patent Number 7,181,891, titled “Acoustical sound proofing material and methods for manufacturing same.” The patent was filed in 2003 and awarded by the United States Patent Office in February of this year and covers a variety of soundproofing panels, including those made of gypsum that do not include metal.
According to public records, Supress Products LLC was founded by Bruce Donaldson, a former employee of Quiet Solution, and has announced the hiring of additional former employees after they had left Quiet Solution.
“Over the past five years, we have invested an enormous amount in our intellectual property, and

It is indeed troublesome when former employees potentially infringe on our patents.”
